Graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University in Consumer Management, Martin secured a position working for ASDA on their Graduate program. With nearly 3 years experience across various managerial roles, within the London region, and working in head office on the recruitment for the graduate campaign, Martin decided to take a 12 month sabbatical to travel the world, which covered all continents.

Back in the UK, Martin joined the retail operations team for a FTSE 250 recruitment consultancy. Over 8 years Martin worked in locations across the UK including, London, Leeds and Manchester, progressing to manager of the Northern offices for the business. Working on both head office and field operational roles, he has an appreciation of the complexities associated within any recruitment campaign. With the ability to deal effectively and quickly with candidates and clients alike, Martin has a strong understanding of the Retail market and how to source appropriate talent in challenging and diverse locations.

Joining Gilbert at Switch Consulting in January 2009, Martin has been intergral in the development of the client and candidate base. Using his experience from the retail sector and recruitment market to offer an honest, ethical and passionate approach to either your own personal job search or on sourcing appropriate talent into your business.
